I’m Alis. Some of y’all have been here since MySpace days. Some the latex era. Some for yoga. Some for adventures. Some for the sensualbabeness. Some via @slowdownbabemail 🐌

Last summer I moved into an old farm cottage in the Lakes with my partner Freddio & became neighbours with the local sheep. I wanted to slow down, get creative again & build a life that felt a little more nourishing.

These days you’ll find me creating snail mail, dreaming up summer camps, making lino prints, recording meditations, collecting flowers and generally trying to romanticise everyday life.

Everything I do will always be full of heart, curiosity and Yorkshire warmth.

YEAH LOVE will continue to be a place of slow living, creativity, community, platonic romance and finding magic 🧡 hope this continues to be ya vibe.

Creating a snail mail inspired by my baba has been the most beautiful thing to do in her memory.

She’s in my heart already, but it’s been so cool to be inspired by her and weave her loves into my loves to create this little capsule.

SPRING BLOOM was my first month of my snail mail club SLOW DOWN BABE MAIL. All about stopping and smelling the flowers.

Jeez can barely listen to this Opera The Flower Duet without being emosh.

My spring flowers are Daffodils & Dandelions. What are yours?

🌸 I’m 38 and still just doing me. 🌸

It’s been a year of hardship in different ways, but slowly I’m reemerging. As the beautiful radiant snail I am. 🐌 (or perhaps transforming). My own version of the May queen!

This year definitely about working towards a more lofi life (thanks Kat for the inspo last year!)

Some of my cute highlights:
- moving to the most cute cottage in the lakes with the most epic views (big sigh) & lambs for neighbours
- nudist beach hunting with Freddie
- probably the most romantic week of my life ever at Summer Camp with the sensual babes (I don’t think any of us will ever get over it)
- Lots of circle dancing and ceildahs! And romantic weekends & flowering hunting with pals
- Growing 5 massive pumpkins and picking them (pumpkin for days)
- Every workshop or event I’ve held having the most beautiful people attend
- dancing on the moors on 1st Jan with my pals
- Making music in the cottage with Freddie
- Starting a very cute snail mail
- Baking, baking, baking
- Holding hands with my momma at the ballet and us both trying to stay awake
- Refinding my creative flow (excited to see where this goes)
- Living in a magical place with these pools, lakes and sea!
- Romantic off grid weekend with my sis to see out last birthday and into my 38th year. My bestfriend

Thanks to the babes that have been a part of this last year! Noticing my highlights aren’t some big epic achievements but loving on the cute moments

🌸 Soft Life Diary #8 🌸

I put off starting my snail mail club for 6 months, because I thought no one would join or maybe I needed longer to make it perfect. But it’s honestly been one of the best things I’ve started.

I now have 25 penpals and counting! Woop! Which maybe doesn’t sound like loads but has honestly brought me so much joy. I remember my aim was to get to 10 people. So Thankyou! Teenage me is living! @slowdownbabemail

I am a sensitive, sentimental soul!!for sure!

It’s set off a little seed and I’ve been getting creative just like I did when I was younger. Even bought some pva glue the other day and somehow that was a throwback!

This first month had music inspired by my baba and my momma. (Gotta love abit of enya and classic fm vibes in your mixtape)

I’ve spent more than I’ve made and it takes you way longer than you think to create and put together but I’ve been loving it!

I’m hoping I can create this slower but creative soft life for myself. So hoping to document more around me trying to get there! I’m not there yet.
